Athens Neighborhood Angry Over Increased Traffic on Yonah Avenue

ATHENS– The neighbors living on Yonah are up in arms about the increase traffic flow in their neighborhood.

Last night, they spoke for more than half an hour at the Athens Mayor & Commission meeting last night. A new development on Prince Avenue is the main target of their frustration.

They say that the new development will put more strain on their neighborhood road that is already over-taxed by traffic now. Developer of the project, John Barrett, has refused to speak with both members of the neighborhood and District 3 Commissioner Melissa Link about their concerns.

Reporter Wade Barron is finding out more on how this project could effect traffic flow in the neighborhood.
