BREAKING: Counterfeit bills reported in Watkinsville

Thirteen fake $20 bills have been reported in Watkinville, according to the Police chief, Lee O’Dillon. Chief O’Dillon believes people who attended the Georgia/Florida game last weekend brought fake bills back from Jacksonville.

According to the Chief these bills have been used at different restaurants and vendors, who noticed they were bad quality. Oconee State Bank confirmed that the bills were counterfeit. They are not sure where they came from. This has never happened before.There have been three different cases reported so far at this time.

The Secret Service is currently handling this investigation. They are expecting some more reports.
