New bus routes and school starting times have been proposed for the 2017-2018 school year. Jackson County Communications Coordinator Karen Bridgeman says these changes will be “sustainable and efficient,” and will help diminish traffic during drop-off and pick-up of students at local schools.

Parents and students affected by the rezoning will receive letters with relocation information no later than January 30, 2017.

11th, 7th, and 4th graders in Jackson County Schools have the option to stay at their current schools for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. Transportation will be provided for 11th graders, but the younger students will have to arrange their own transportation to and from their current schools of enrollment.
