Madison County is now considering joining Athens-Clarke and Oconee Counties in a multi-state federal lawsuit suing manufacturers and distributors of opioid drugs. Reporter Bethany Bell reported live at the Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley law firm with more on how the opioid crisis has affected our local community.

No one at Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley was available to speak with Bethany Bell today about the lawsuit, but they did issue a press release saying that they expect the case to be transferred to the national multi-district litigation with more than two hundred other cases.
