The Lead: Rana Cash on Leading the Savannah Morning News

What does it mean to belong to a community?

In addition to the city, county or state lines that define our physical communities, community can encompass the collection of goals and perspectives that exist within those limits. To know our community, we need to know the stories within it.

In the first episode of season 10, Rana Cash, editor of The Savannah Morning News in Savannah, Georgia, shares what it’s like to lead a newsroom and discusses her goal of connecting with the community. She shares where she sees opportunity for growth and the steps she will encourage to get there.

In the past year, communities have experienced notable levels of division and unity. May we all follow Rana’s lead in bringing more voices to the table.
