State of the Art

Wavelight is the newest, state of the art lasik technology. It is a two part system that uses software to make the surgery more precise.

Lasik Doctor, Jing Dong, said, “The first step is make a perfect flap, so this machine, is not just ya know a machine, its software that programs the machine to make the precision so much better, basically making a flap every time, in 6 seconds.”

This six seconds is crucial because it leaves less room for error and makes the procedure safer.

Dr. Jing Dong reassures his patients by stating, “When you do it quick you actually increase the safety profile, the longer you hold it the more likely youre going to blink the likely your going to move, your going to be more anxious. Versus tell you hold 5 seconds, piece of cake so the patient a lot more relaxed as well.” He further explains another advantage of correcting previous technology saying that”early generation laser always give patients night glare and night halo.”

Now, this machine fixes this issue and cuts the procedure time in half! This is more important because more people are asking for the procedure.

He says, “they are making the decision much quicker now, not like old days, plus Lasik is a proven technology so when you fine tune the technique it makes it even better. Everyone is projecting a significant increase in Lasik volume.”
