The wintry mix has not yet stopped Kroger and Wal-mart from staying open, but for how long is a question left up to the power.
The Wal-Mart on Epps Bridge is pretty well stocked and will stay open until the power goes out. The store is currently open with less than a quarter of staff present.
Employees can stay as long as they want but have the option to leave as well.
A Kroger representative on Epps Bridge says that the store will remain open until 1 am today and that staff will stay as long as possible.
Both stores have had few customers visit today because of the icy roads.
