Self-Defense Classes at Oconee Crossfit

By Adriana Vicuna

Crossfire Oconee is offering a self-defense class this Friday for people interested in learning how to protect themselves. The class will be held at Crossfit Oconee located in Watkinsville, Ga.

Coach Samantha Murray says young people have shown interest in wanting to know how to effectively defend themselves. She says students have seen violence increase on college campuses, especially attacks on women, so they want to be prepared if anything happens.

Murray says it is important for everyone to know how to safely defend themselves in dangerous situations.

The class will start at 7:00pm and there is a $15 dollar entrance fee for students and $25 for non-students.
